Happy New Year Fellow Kiwanians.
Lets do ourselves a favor and get those reports filed as soon as possible. With all the service hours, turkeys given out, Christmas gifts distributed we were busy elves.
We are also doing great work with our Key Clubs, especially those clubs that are starting to include their Key clubs in joint projects. Kudos to Dennis Freckleton, Mary Boast and Past LG Richard Leys with the superlative work they are doing with those kids.
Don't forget that we have the Zone conference coming up this month. There will be handouts at the DCM. I can't stress the importance of registering early for this event,
The information we get at these conferences is crucial for our clubs and the work that we do. In reality, Zone is a mini convention. You will meet and work with District Chairs and officers; we will also meet and hear from our Governor Donna Parton.
Many of us don't have a chance to get to Conventions and this is the closest thing. It is not just for club officers, but it is for every member of the club as well. Let’s get a massive turnout with every club having an interclub at the Zone.
Finally, plans are well on their way for the massive membership drive that the Tamarac Club is sponsoring in February. President Joel Davidson has spoken to Governor Parton and they are clearing a final date where she will come down on a Tuesday for lunch, and be a guest speaker (as well as induct new members) The game plan is simple. Tamarac is having a buffet at Colony West Country Club and every club in the Division is urged to join us for lunch and to bring in their prospective members. It is truly going to be a membership blitz! We are hoping for over 100 participants. Contact Joel Davidson for more information either at the DCM or via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
Finally, I receive newsletters from several clubs. I know what you are doing and the great work you are all performing. Wouldn't it be nice to let everyone else in the Division in on your projects? WE HAVE A DIVISION WEBSITE. Why don't we all use this site for our postings? If you don't know how to do it, speak to Vickie, who by the way will be our guest speaker, this upcoming DCM to talk about the site a little more.
